Healthy chocolate milkshake recipe

Wings for Wellness chocolate smoothie recipe. Most things taste better in a smoothie! This one is filled with great things including bananas... bananas contain tryptophan which is needed to create serotonin, the neurotransmitter that helps us feel good. It also contains raw cacao which is high in iron and magnesium.

In a blender put:


- 1 or 2 chopped fresh or frozen bananas
- 1 handful of raw cashew nuts
- 8 dried dates
- 1 heaped tablespoon raw cacao
- 1 tablespoon cold pressed extra virgin coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons of bee pollen (Optional. It contains enzymes that can assist with digestion)
- 1 cup milk. I like Cocoquench by pure harvest

Blend in the blender till smooth, might take a minute or 2. Scrape down the sides halfway through.

Then add
- 1 more cup of milk
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup if you would like it sweeter.

Blend again, pour and enjoy. Serves 2.


It tastes just like a chocolate smoothie/milkshake.

Freeze in iceblock molds and you have paddle pops!
